Eco-friendly storytelling in the children's libraries...
...the revenge of an ordinary soft plastic bottle
At the start, the storyteller will bring to the public a really normal story. In fact, it’s the story of an ordinary plastic bottle, with its ordinary journey from the raw material (the sucking up of the crude oil) to the landfill.
But, with simplicity and a bit of invention, everybody will be drown into a playful discovery adventure, transforming the ordinary bottle into a toy to have fun.
For this to work, people’s participation is required, by answering some open questions and playing easy games with unwanted materials. No one will be excluded.
During the session, simply and gradually, the best treasure to discover will be the building of a positive relationship between children and adults.
By following the path of the story, both of them will be involved in a continuous and playful meandering: by opening many windows from the story and only apparently, people will be led in different directions.
Setting
The storytelling setting is really simple, without special effect and use of technology.
This enables the storyteller and assistant to play the story everywhere even in an empty room, having an audience between 30 and 40 people: children sit on the floor and parents behind them.
On the scene and to support the story, people will see some big cards with drawings.
In addition they will experience many everyday objects turned into handmade toys and playthings to play games.
A slide-show presentation describing previous activities run in different Children's Libraries of Westminster will support meeting with organiser.
The entire performance comprises two stages; storyelling and a toy-making workshop.

There is no need for electrical-technological devices.
